Eric Brown is a dedicated visual consultant and music educator hailing from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Growing up in Fayetteville, he developed a passion for music early in life. His marching career began in high school and later made its way into drum corps when he marched Carolina Gold Drum and Bugle Corps in 2015. His unwavering passion for music led him to serve as a professional tuba player in the United States Army Band from 2019 to 2021. Since graduating high school, he has immersed himself in the marching arts scene across North Carolina for seven years. His involvement in multiple programs allowed him to gain extensive knowledge of visual design and performance techniques, further solidifying his expertise in the field.

Eric's collegiate educational journey began at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he studied music education before transferring to The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he now studies under the esteemed Dr. Joanna Ross Hersey.

Currently, he serves as the visual caption head at Jack Britt High School in Fayetteville, where he is responsible for developing and implementing innovative visual strategies that enhance the students' performance experience. In addition to his role at Jack Britt, he provides visual consulting services to various schools throughout Central and Southeast North Carolina, helping them elevate their marching band programs to new heights. His guidance has been crucial in helping numerous groups become competitive within the Bands of America circuit, showcasing his ability to transform potential into success.

Passionate about teaching and show design, he is eager to share his knowledge and experiences with the next generation of musicians. He believes that effective education goes beyond mere instruction; it involves inspiring students to discover their unique voices and potential through music. His approach combines rigorous training with an emphasis on creativity, collaboration, and personal growth, ensuring that his students are well-equipped to thrive in the competitive world of marching arts.
